FATHER & SON

Treat your son or daughter to a day that you will both remember for years to come. Share the drives and the shooting on a day specifically designed to provide a first taste of the excitement that can only be experienced in the valleys & wooded drives of a true country estate.

It is a lot to ask of a young boy or girl to shoot a full day, so Cooper & Pope have tailored the Father & Son Days (or Mother & Daughter for that matter!) to pack as much shooting & useful instruction into a full morning or afternoon session.

You will be met at the estate by the Shoot Captain who after a short introduction and safety briefing, will introduce the dedicated instructor/loader for each parent & child. Then pile into our 4x4’s & off to the first drive. For those who need guns they will be provided, as are cartridges. Our special Shotgun Licence granted for the day by the local police covers each person.

At the first drive you & your child will take it in turns to shoot as the clays come over your ‘peg’; the Instructor is there to help you out with a generous blend of instruction & advice, but given in such a way as to keep the thrill & excitement of the shooting the aim of the day.

We shoot two drives and such is the layout of the Estate that we can vary the stands in such a way that the difficulty factor can be adapted for the various skill levels. Novices present no problem. Just before we break as the end of the session we have a fun & exciting decoyed pigeon shoot – but more about that on the day itself.
